HTTP Custom is the most versatile tunnel VPN app available for Android, supporting four different tunnelling methods in a single application. When a fresh config is available, it consistently delivers the fastest speeds of any app on this list because the HTTP proxy method adds very little overhead. The trade-off is that HTTP proxy ports get patched by networks regularly, so configs need updating more often than SSH-based apps.

How to import and connect HTTP Custom

Download the .hc file

Open HTTP Custom, tap the menu, select Import Config, choose the file, then tap Connect

HTTP Custom uses .hc config files. Download the .hc file and import it through the app menu.

The config may be outdated or patched by your network. Download a fresh config and try again. Networks patch these frequently.

Open HTTP Custom, tap the three-line menu, select Import Config, choose the .hc file from your downloads, then tap the Connect button.

HTTP Custom supports SSH, HTTP proxy, SSL tunnelling, and DNS tunnelling. The config you download determines which protocol is active.

HTTP Custom works on most African mobile networks but not all. If one config fails, try a different network config from our list.

Data limits depend on the config and the network offer being exploited. Some configs offer unlimited, others are capped at 300MB or similar.
